Apraxia: Multisyllabic Garden

$5.00

Check out this helpful packet for multisyllabic words in speech therapy sessions.

This packet is a no prep, print and go (or use no print) apraxia activities for teaching multisyllabic words (2-4 syllables) with a garden theme. Plus, you'll get homework pages at the word and phrase level.

Instead of using flashcards (again), try this packet which focuses on a MOTOR APPROACH, which includes:

- A smaller word set

- Practice using target words in both words and repetitive carrier phrases

- Practice with motor planning, with multiple trials for production practice

You can use this print-and-go, no-prep packet for telepractice (using screen share and annotate) or in person services (no print on a tablet or computer, or print it if you'd like).

This 24 page packet includes:

Cover, page 1

Title Page, page 2

2-syllable word drill and practice, pages 3-7 (one word per page, 5 words total)

3-syllable word drill and practice, pages 8-12 (one word per page, 5 words total)

4-syllable word drill and practice, pages 13-17 (one word per page, 5 words total)

Homework practice pages, pages 18-23

Terms of Use, page 24

A note on how to use: this is a motor approach, meaning for example "brussels sprout" is a three syllable word and "yellow pepper" is a four syllable word. This is because we are not concerned with how many words something is, but if there is a long pause between syllables or not. For example, we don't say "brussels.....sprout," but rather through coarticulation we run it together into three syllables in a connected unit. Because this is CAS, the product considers what motor planning pattern a student would need to produce the word(s) with proper pacing and intonation, and so words are categorized accordingly.

If you are an SLP looking for a no-prep packet for multisyllabic words for children with CAS using a motor planning approach, this packet might be a great fit for you.

Page count includes cover and terms of use.
